W Talent Manufacturing are supporting a leading manufacturing company based in Cheshire who are now looking to recruit a SHE Technician. Our client is dedicated to delivering high-quality products and services to its customers and gone through exceptional growth in the past 2 years which has lead to high capex investment. This Manufacturer has a focus on innovation and driving continuous improvement and is now seeking a SHE Technician to help improve HSE systems and procedures.
Position Overview:
My client are now looking to recruit a SHE Technician to implement, manage and administrate Health, Safety and Environmental system improvements to fulfil their health and safety responsibilities. Additionally, you will develop and facilitate the completion and control of safe operating procedures and safe systems of work which will also include some training. The aim is to create analytical reports and provide overview information and data to aid ongoing improvements in health and safety function.
Key Responsibilities:
* As the SHE Technician you will ensure compliance with all health, safety and work environment laws, by putting in place appropriate control measures.
* You will manage and deliver health and safety system improvements including operating procedures and documentation across the organisation.
* Actively contribute to the implementation of a sustainable process safety culture including audit of current documentation, workspaces, and equipment.
* Provide timely reporting of progress, KPIs and SHE issues and initiatives at local and site level meetings, and in written reports.
* Actively influence key stakeholders and liaise with external bodies and managing key contacts and contractors.
* Collaborate with external bodies and all levels of the organisation.
* Keep up to date with new legislation and guidance.
Key Requirements:
To apply for the SHE Technician position based in Cheshire you will ideally hold a Level 3 qualification in Health and Safety or a NEBOSH general certificate, other requirements include;
* Knowledge and understanding of SHE regulations including 18001, 9001 and 14001.
* Knowledge of risk assessment procedures.
* Experience in safety training.
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, word, PowerPoint).
* Excellent planning and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) at all levels.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Good problem solving abilities.
* Team player with a flexible and adaptive approach.
