We are currently looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer with a strong composite background to join an ambitious and growing, high performance engineering customer of ours near Brackley.
As a Supplier Quality Engineer specialising in composites, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of composite materials supplied to our organization.
Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to establish and maintain robust quality processes for composite materials used in the company's products.
You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and overall supplier performance within the realm of composite materials, of which includes:
1) Define, create, and manage a strategy for meeting the programmes quality requirement
2) Ensuring customers requirements are being met through establishing robust internal processes and providing engineering feedback where required
3) Managing and continuously improving an agile quality management system and team
4) Supporting FMEA activities
5) Provide guidance to the inspection team and ensuring quality best practices are being followed
6) Creating close working relationships with suppliers to ensure the development of safety critical parts are robustly manufactured
7) Auditing suppliers for approval or performance assessment of new and existing suppliers
8) Developing strategies to ensure visual carbon composites are in line with the customer requirements whilst having a right-first-time mentality
9) Utilising 8D principles as a basis for effective problem resolution and able to facilitate the resolution of complex, cross functional issues
10) Actively working with suppliers to collaboratively develop product specifications to align with process capability
