An opportunity for a Sheet Metal Worker on a 6 month contract to join our client that manufacture very specialist and unique equipment.

Our client have already engaged in the delivery of a wide range of high profile projects and on the back of this they have been recently awarded another major contract and thus are looking to add a Sheet Metal Worker on a 6 month contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our client that over 70 years of experience in the design, manufacture and sales of their specialist equipment.

DUTIES INCLUDED for the role of Sheet Metal Worker :

Weld and fabricate a variety of bespoke components using stainless steel and mild steel materials, gauge of sheet metal generally between 0.9mm & 6mm thickness.
Weld and fabricate bespoke furnace and oven frameworks from mild steel rolled hollow section and angle iron to a high standard.
Read engineering drawings and translate that into an end product with minimum supervision.
Achieve a high standard of finish/tolerance on bespoke fabricated products.
Create own cutting list and cut up material using electric band saw.
Cut and shape materials using a notching machine, guillotine or hand rolls.KEEN to speak to Sheet Metal Worker :

Apprentice trained/Timeserved.
At least 5 years' experience in the welding and fabrication of bespoke products, working within a light / medium fabrication working environment.
Good MIG, TIG and spot welding skills are essential.
Have good calculation skills and have the ability to work to fine tolerances.
Accuracy and attention to detail.THE OFFER for the role of Sheet Metal Worker :

£20-£25 per hour.
Overtime available .
Modern Manufacturing workplace.
6 months + contract
