1968 Rover P5B Coupe 3.5 Lite V8 Automatic. Silver Birch over Admiralty Blue with Buckskin leather upholstery. We are very proud to offer this beautiful P5B that has just 58,000 miles recorded. Supplied new by Clark and Lambert Ltd of Eastbourne to its first owner on 2nd May 1968 with supplying dealer sill plate still present. A stunning car both inside and out it has obviously been very well cared for over the years and was also previously supplied by Hurst Park who are renowned for handling the very best of the best vehicles. No expense has been spared on the upkeep of this car and most recently the following work has been carried out. July 2020: Replace rear hub seal, rear brake shoes, track rod end and track rod end boots. August 2020: Replace oil pressure switch, replace inertia reel seat belts, replace washer bottle with correct type, modify light rheostat. September 2020: Replace electrical terminals on brake reservoir and washer bottle. Reset dwell angle. Change rear axle oil and bulbs in interior lights. Replace rear bump stops. October 2020: Replace choke cable and fit tool strap. Replace radiator with re-cored unit, new hoses, and antifreeze. January 2021 Change auto gearbox oil (3 complete flushes), change engine oil & filter, replace ballast resistor, replace power steering reservoir filter, replace power steering pipe pump to steering box and power steering fluid. July 2021 Replace alternator regulator. Change engine oil & filter. The Rovers file contains a British Motor Industry Heritage Certificate which confirms the car is an original home market car. Also present the original owners instruction manual, maintenance manual and a spare set of keys. Driving just as you would expect for such a cared for example. The V8 bursts into life almost immediately of asking, and the oil pressure rises instantly. The automatic gears select just as they should and then when on the road power and comfort go hand in hand. The condition speaks for itself, and this big coupe would grace any collection, show ground or classic car event. Very seldom do vehicles this elegant come to market and we think judging by the huge rise in P5B popularity this car wont be around for long.
