Job Title: LWB / Luton Tail lift - Courier Driver
Location: Wakefield
Salary: From £145.00 per day. Contracts will run - Monday to Friday (Hours vary on distance)
Job type: Self-employed, Permanent, full time. No weekend work required.
Over the last 23 years, we have grown to become the leading name in medical logistics, working with the biggest companies in the industry along the way. Unlike conventional couriers, we are specially trained to work within the medical industry, and we are looking for a Self-employed courier driver with ownership of a Luton Tail Lift Vehicle.
The Role:
We are looking for energetic, switched-on couriers, who are professional, patient, and can deliver excellent customer service, even under pressure. You must be based in West Yorkshire and willing to travel across the UK. (Routes will vary) You will be transporting vital medical equipment (for NHS) into hospitals for life-changing surgeries. It is absolutely essential that you own a Luton Tail Lift Vehicle and are able to utilise this for the role.
Main Responsibilities:
* Must be a reliable, well-presented individual with a positive can-do attitude.
* Must own or have full time access to a LWB High Roof vehicle or Luton Tail lift vehicle.
* Multiple years of courier long distance experience
* Able to work alone long periods of time - this role is self-employed
* Competent and effective communication skills.
* Some days will involve long-distance work and early starts / late finishes, moving medical equipment into hospitals across the country.
Required:
* LUTON TAIL LIFT ONLY - Must own or be able to obtain this vehicle
* Driving for a courier company: 2 years.
* DBS Check.
* No more than 6 points on driving license.
* Good knowledge of the UK road networks.
