One of our local authority clients are currently recruiting for a Senior Development Officer. This is a temporary contract for 3 months with possible further extension based on budget and performance.
Main Purpose of Post/Job Summary
Delivery of OD and engagement activities to support the performance of the organisation and the workforce.
Duties and Responsibilities
* To assist with the development and implementation of OD, change and engagement activities to deliver the Councils People Strategy priorities.
* Support organisational change and transformation through delivery of effective OD interventions.
* Co-ordinate the planned delivery and evaluation of the organisational development programmes.
* Contribute to the achievement and maintenance of external accreditation (e.g. IIP and professional awards).
* Contribute to programmes and projects that support organisational performance improvement and the effective identification and development of Talent.
* To provide consultancy, project management support and advice to ensure delivery of corporate priorities, including employee engagement and talent management.
* To develop and deliver an effective approach to employee engagement survey, ensuring a focus on identifying key improvement themes, development of action plans, monitoring and reporting on impact.
* To develop and sustain positive working relationships, networks. internal and external stakeholders and other appropriate national (and regional) organisations and professional bodies to maximise opportunities and effectiveness for the Council.
* To represent the People and Organisation Development team as appropriate and provide feedback.
* To write Committee and Board level reports and prepare and present management reports as appropriate.
