This lot will be auctioned via Silverstone Auctions, The Classic Sale at Silverstone Festival 2023 on Friday the 25th of August - Saturday the 26th of August, The Wing, Silverstone Circuit, NN12 8TN. , Offered here at the Silverstone Festival, one of Europe’s most prestigious, historic motorsport events, is this well constructed and highly competitive Lancer Evo X race car which was built specifically to compete in the Classic and Modern Motorsport Club (Southern), Modified/Super Saloon Series. The Series is open to a wide variety of cars which includes some of the fastest saloons seen in national racing with regulations designed to prevent anyone enjoying a runaway advantage. The 2023 series is contested over 14 races at seven race meetings, whenever possible on just one day.The superbly presented Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X on offer here was indeed prepared for that Championship in 2022 with evident success having collected the silverware for two wins and a number of second places. It was built by our vendor with input from some of the best Evo companies in the UK with no expense spared. The engine was the responsibility of TDI (a renowned engine builders in Essex) and, we understand, generates somewhere in the region of 740bhp. The full specification is available on request with a summary below;Forged engine from Torque developments set up to run on race fuel, Simon Norris Precision 6062 full turbo kit, Julian Godfrey triple fuel kit, Syvecs ECU, Alcon billet race brakes, DS UNO carbon race pads, Nitron suspension with all geometry properly set up, Lightweight wheels, White line struts F+R with castor kit, STM large intercooler, Extra-deep baffled alloy sump, CAE quick-shifter (with new connecting cables and bushes), Carbon race seat, Lightweight throughout with T45 cage, 2022 electronic fire extinguisher, 2022 electronic ignition system.Relatively fresh, certainly proven and run-in with just two races since the engine rebuild and only one race on the new turbo. It has been meticulously maintained using Millers race oil which was changed after every race. Absolutely on-the-button, the car is also road-registered with a V5C and has a full service history including every invoice for its construction. Our vendor informs us that the car is fully Motorsport UK and BRSCC compliant and, whilst being built to conform with CMMCS Modified/Super Saloon Series regs, it may well be eligible to race in other championships.Highly competitive in the right hands this Evo race car represents superb value listed at a very realistic guide.
