We are recruiting for a Behaviour Buddy for a Primary School in M14 to work on a day-to-day basis starting after February Half-term!

Your role & responsibilities as a Behaviour Buddy:

* Provide pastoral support to pupils
* Assist the teacher with the development and implementation of individual education/ behaviour/ support/ mentoring plans.
* Support provision for gifted and talented pupils and those with SEN
* Develop 1-1 mentoring arrangements with pupils and provide support for distressed pupils.

Non-negotiables:

* Experience working in a classroom environment
* Working knowledge of the national curriculum and other relevant learning programs.
* Understanding of principles of child development and learning processes and in particular, barriers to learning.
* Ability to plan effective actions for pupils at risk of underachieving.
