Flexi-Cover Teaching Assistant - Primary Schools

Protocol Education are working with schools throughout Bristol to appoint committed, flexible Teaching Assistants to become a vital part of their support team. This role will suit someone who is looking to gain experience within different education settings and with children of different ages on a schedule that fits around them. You will have your own online diary which you will update so that we can get you work on any days you want it. As a flexi-cover teaching assistant you will work across schools and year groups as and when needed either covering due to staff absence, extra staff needed or intervention support.

The Role;

To support and manage the behaviour of pupils whilst they undertake their work, creating a positive learning environment

De-escalating situations within the classroom in the correct way whilst ensuring that safeguarding procedures are always adhered to

Working 1:1 and in small intervention groups both inside and outside of the classroom

Reporting any safeguarding concerns using the schools referral procedures and safeguarding policies.

Excellent communication skills; verbal, written and reading comprehension

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
