Would you like to join an international defence company to support their clients by improving the capability, reliability and availability of their most critical assets? Due to continued investment, this global business is currently looking for a Senior Electrical (LV Power) Engineer to join their existing team in Plymouth (hybrid working) on a 12 month contract.
The Role
As a Senior Electrical (LV Power) Engineer, your will be assisting and supporting the
Design Manager in the delivery of project scope. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Responsible for managing the technical deliverables of the electrical services engineering packages in line with the planned deliverables agreed by the Electrical Services Engineering Lead.
Support development, construction, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of all Facilities to ensure that they comply with the design intent and DNSP's for Nuclear related Works, together with all relevant Local and National Regulations and Legislation.
Support the review and sentencing of new designs, methodology of construction and temporary works submitted to the Technical Authority.
In addition, you will also manage design work packages as Engineer, responsible as appointed by Manager. Supporting planning of activities, with respect to task durations, level of effort and estimated costs, through to provision of design deliverables with regular schedule reviews and progress reporting, utilising Earned Value Management methodologies, and construction support.
You
To succeed within the role of a Senior Electrical (LV Power) Engineer, you'll have experience in a similar position and have the following skills:
A degree or equivalent in an Electrical or Electronic Engineering related discipline
Design of electrical building services, to include fire detection and alarm systems, industrial lighting and emergency lighting, site broadcast (PA) and HVAC; low voltage electrical distribution systems; control & instrumentation systems; and communications and data systems.
Experience of substantiation of SIL and high integrity systems for justification of Nuclear Safety functions.
In addition, you should also have experience of the design support to construction, operation, refit/repair of complex regulated facilities.
Please note that due to security nature of this role, candidates must be British national who lived in the UK in the last 5 years and is eligible to obtain SC security clearance.
