Our client has an established and demonstrable background in delivering civil engineering contracts for both the public and private sectors across Ayrshire. Projects typically cover groundworks, drainage, earthworks, foundations and retaining structures.
Recently they have been successful in new projects and as such are looking to expand their team. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor youll work alongside experienced teams to ensure that projects are completed safely and on time. You will be responsible for building robust relationships both internally and externally to ensure a flawless, high-quality delivery. Youll be required to provide commercial assistance to operational teams and others when required.
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, your key responsibilities will be:
Assist with value work executed by contractors and certify payments
Commercial reporting.
Providing commercial assistance to operational teams & others when required.
Interacting with internal & external decision makers.
Building and maintaining contractual relationships with build partners.
Background/ Experienced required:
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying.
Previous experience of at least 1 year within a similar role within the Civil Engineering sector is essential.
NEC experience is desirable.
Good interpersonal & negotiation skills, as well as the ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
Experience using Microsoft Excel to intercept and collate financial data is essential.
Full UK driving licence.
