About The Role

Location Dan Y Coed, Swansea
Hourly rate - £11.25 to £11.80 dependent on experience
Full Time role - 40.25 hours per week
**This role requires a drivers license**

Located on the spectacular coastline of Swansea Bay and minutes from the sandy beaches of the Gower. Dan Y Coed is a bright modern home located on the same site as the school, so offers a wide range of learning and living options. Children are encouraged to get creative and put their personal stamp on their own space, bringing as much or as little from their home as they like.

A day in the life of working at Dan Y Coed includes:

Ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment;
Support our people during recreational activities, outings and community integration;
Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our people, celebrating their achievements and milestones;
Working together to ensure support is tailored to meet individual needs;
Keeping accurate records of all activities, progress, and incidents should they arise;
General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation; Sound good so far? We are looking for people who care and have:

A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships;
Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs;
A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team;
Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes;
Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts; Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with children and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
