R&D Chemist for leading building materials manufacturer based in North West England.

Company: Multinational construction materials company which has seen massive growth over the last 5 years, with leading facilities and excellent reputation globally.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (flexible working hours are available)

Salary: Up to £45k (dependant on your skills and experience)

You will be involved in:

* Formulating polymeric materials at initial bench scale.

* Liaising with sales and marketing on product requirements and trends and working with engineering and production to see products through to full scale manufacture.

* Ensuring that products meet construction and other safety standards.

* Ensuring that H&S policies are adhered to, and work to ISO9001 standards.

* Project management, seeing products form initial concept through to full scale production.

What do you need to be considered?

You will need:

* Degree in Science or equivalent experience in Chemistry, Polymer or Material science.

* At least 3 years experience working in an industrial lab formulating products (coatings, paints or adhesives).

* Project management experience with the ability to multitask.

* The ability to research new technologies and how these can be applied to new and existing product ranges.

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to write reports and deliver presentations to both internal and external stockholders.
