Shore Executive have been assigned on behalf of an established Design & Build company who specialise in Workplace Fit Out to appoint a Head of Design to join there team.

Our client specialises in both CAT A and CAT B projects which predominately centralises in the London area. Due to a strong pipeline of work, with an increasingly larger and more complex project portfolio, our client is seeking to recruit a natural people manager to assume a pivotal leadership role within their organisation.

Due to the nature of the position, you will ideally match the following:

* Currently working within an Architectural firm OR Design and Build company with experience of Interior Architecture (Workplace) OR Office Interiors OR Office Refurbishments

* Experience in designing Cat A & Cat B office refurbishment and Fitout projects

* Expertise in developing, guiding, and managing all stages of the design process including strategy, feasibility, concept, and technical design

* Experience of leading client pitches

* Proven experience of managing design teams

Key responsibilities will include:

* Responsible for managing and directing a team of creative and technical designers

* Oversee and manage project resource and deadlines

* Responsible for CAT A and B projects briefs from clients and develop project briefs

* Research and produce inspiration and concept material

* Lead client pitches

* Produce a developed design including all relevant spatial and aesthetic elements

* Working in partnership with Technical Designers

* Team development & Resource management

* Involvement in Board discussions regarding team direction and strategy
