Childrens Support Worker

Your job role as a Children and Young Peoples Support Worker will involve you working closely with children in care and putting them at the centre of everything you do. Your day to day role will require you to support them in all aspects of their lives such as educational pursuits, hobbies and activities.
Your experience and support will be influential in developing and contributing towards positive outcomes to help shape the future of children and young people.

Responsibilities of a Children and Young Peoples Support Worker:
To support, safeguard and promote the wellbeing of children and young people
Assist with daily routines which may include working in the community and/or educational setting
Organising and facilitating social activities
Transportation
Work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to implement safe practice
Offer high levels of supervision and support
Working in line with Ofsted and CQC regulations
Manage complex behaviours and crisis intervention
Contributing to the young persons care plans and risk assessments, their review and implementation
What Nurseplus needs from you as a Children and Young Peoples Support Worker:
A minimum of 6 months post qualification experience working within a child and/or young adults setting
All candidates must be over the age of 21 to meet industry regulations
Knowledge in one of the following areas EBD, SEMH, CSE or SEN/SEND
Diploma level 3 / childrens and young people, desirable level 4
An enhanced DBS, which you can apply for upon registration (to be paid in full at a £45.20 fee with a full refund after 100 hours worked*)
A Full UK Driving Licence
