Job Title: Facades Manager
Type: Permanent, full-time
Location: Remote (UK-wide)
Salary: £45k basic + £6k commission bonus
Start Date: April (flexible)
A leading global construction solutions company are looking for an ACT Systems Manager to join their team. This role offers remote working opportunities across the UK.
Responsibilities:
Business Development and Technical Support:
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects and cladding contractors.
* Provide professional advisory services, from feasibility advice to detailed structural design.
* Support clients with general fixings enquiries.
Market Promotion and Expertise:
* Market and promote the rain-screen cladding range effectively.
* Be an expert in the cladding range and share knowledge throughout the marketplace.
Technical Specifications and Tender Submissions:
* Provide detailed technical specifications, structural calculations, thermal calculations, and detail drawings for rain-screen cladding systems.
* Prepare and submit project tenders with detailed pricing.
Relationship Management and Training:
* Maintain client databases and adequate records of correspondence and specifications.
* Train and provide technical support to sales teams and distributors.
* Offer advice and support to the Assistant Specification Engineer.
Product Management and Compliance:
* Introduce new products following Company New Product Launch Procedures.
* Ensure compliance with the Company Employee Handbook.
* Maintain up-to-date Company literature and the website and communicate changes effectively.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Provide support to the procurement department regarding supply chain and stock management.
* Offer advice to sales and customer service departments regarding product and system definitions.
* Undertake on-site testing and customer training as required.
* Undertake various other projects/duties as required by the Technical Manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Degree in structural engineering.
* Strong AutoCAD knowledge and experience.
* Experience with structural analysis of rainscreen systems, thermal analysis of external walls, and knowledge of legislation and regulations such as Eurocode 0, 1 and 9.
* Commercial awareness with the ability to develop and secure new business.
* A valid driving licence.
* Self-motivated, reliable, persistent, and thorough with excellent customer focus.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Fully IT conversant with excellent written and verbal skills.
* Full training available to the right individual, but preference given to those with cladding design and specification sales or product management experience within the cladding industry.
* Dynamic individual with good listening skills, the ability to respond quickly to client needs, and confidence in providing solutions and presentations.
* Ability to relate successfully on all levels from site staff through to senior specifiers and decision makers.
* A minimum of five years experience in a construction environment.
