We are currently recruiting a Workshop Service Manager based at our depot in Leeds reporting to the Depot Manager.
As Workshop Service Manager you will be responsible to run and maintain the smooth operation of local engineering activities and fleet assets in accordance with company standards.

Responsibilities include:
Deliver equipment availability and reliability performance at optimal cost through effective management.
Be an ambassador for and ensure compliance of Quality, Health & Safety standards and policies.
Ensure continuous improvement in all engineering standards by mentoring engineering staff, including apprentices.
Drive up engineering quality standards and trends across your area of influence and responsibility.
Support engineering staff on technical matters to achieve all time bound objectives and quality standards.
Have input into preparation and delivery of engineering policies and procedures.
React to engineering incidents or issues that may arise within areas of responsibility.
Liaise closely with senior management on reducing and saving costs with external parts and service providers when required.
Interpret data and report on corrective actions to address underperformance or non-compliance.
Ensure that all workshop staff are motivated and developed to achieve Depot and Company targets.
Identify training development, tool and equipment needs of depot engineering personnel.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Provide leadership and ensure compliance with QHSE requirements and legislation.
Able to balance short- and long-term goals, is motivated to hit performance targets and assigns clear levels of responsibility.
The ability to rise to a challenge or change, resolve conflict and find a successful way forward.
The ability to use technical knowledge, experience and interpersonal skills to gain the agreement and respect of others.
The ability to set team goals and objectives to work to an agreed pattern of output and to prioritise tasks and activities.
The ability to work in such a way that maintains and improves business processes and structure.
IPAF Operator Licence (desirable)
NQV2 within an engineering capacity or equivalent
Able to assess the technical capability of engineering staff.
Use all equipment, tools and PPE as prescribed in a safe and proper manner.
Ability to communicate with internal or external customers to resolve issues or queries satisfactorily.
