Our client is a major producer of Tomatoes for UK retailers within a high Tech glasshouse production facility.

Crop Supervisor

You are responsible to train all staff jobs i.e.:

* Crop husbandry

* Preparation of new crop

* Planting

* Stringing

* Clipping

* Leafing

* Dropping

* Shoot removal.

* Crop Clearance

Training staff:

* Ensure all staff are informed and understand what standards are expected of them.

* It is the Team Leaders responsibility to train new staff based on Work Instructions and correct standards.

* Monitor performance of your team.

Pest and Biological control:

* Recognising Pests and Diseases, you are expected to be able to identify and report any Pests, Diseases or Suspicious plants to your Manager.

* Ensure any biological measures are taken.

Keeping work areas clean, tidy, and safe:

* Ensure all work areas are clean and tidy at the end of the day and before breaks.

* Make sure electric trolleys are clean, turned off, charged and ready for use for the next day and thoroughly cleaned once a week.

* Make sure when trolleys are not in use that they are positioned correctly inside an empty path not blocking the concrete path for forklifts.

* Make sure that any dead or broken plants that have been mixed with plant waste do not have string still attached.

£Competitive Salary

40 hours Mon - Fri

Occassional Saturdays (on rotating shift) during main period of harvest
