BMWs E60 saloon was the BMW 5 series model that ran from 2003 to 2010 and this is one of the final. A diesel powered 5 series is pretty much the perfect executive saloon for anyone looking for performance, comfort and economy. These high quality cars are well built, comfortable and highly practical. As a result 5 series BMW's have long been the benchmark of the executive class - the car that everyone else tries to emulate. The BMW 5 series combines all the usual attributes of ''The ultimate driving machine'' which have ensured this has always been the benchmark among executive saloons. This late 2004 car is a sought after 530 diesel model with one of THE best diesel engines of all time - The 3 litre 6 cylinder which produces 218bhp and is mated to a slick, 6 speed tiptronic auto gearbox. It is trimmed in ''SE'' specification which means you get a very high level of equipment including a full leather interior. It's a smart looking, and powerful 4 door which combines the luxury and performance you associate with the BMW brand. However, the good news is that these E60s were extremely well built and this 530d model has the best engine in the entire range. Despite the higher miles, the power delivery is still instantaneous, the turn in is still sharp and the change on the auto gearbox is fast and smooth. These are minor marks and imperfections to the bodywork but nothing that stands out as out of keeping with the cars age and mileage. The car is free of rust and there is no actual damage just wear which is to be expected.
