Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm (40hrs per week)

Duration: Long term will be indefinite/ongoing if everything goes well

Pay: £11.00ph paid weekly PAYE

Duties

* The Caretaker role is vital to ensure the smooth running of the school, and ensure the children have a safe, clean and pleasant working environment in which to learn. This means we must maintain and repair, when broken, anything which may disrupt the school day which means experience in Plumbing, Electrical, Plastering, and general maintenance and Handywork is desired.

* Provide routine housekeeping duties and/or janitorial tasks to support the effective operations of the schools, e.g. washing low level windows, low level maintenance (i.e. fixing a door handle) etc.

* Open/Close the school as necessary

* Maintenance of daily staff attendance records and signing in books.

* To take responsibility for the coordination of the janitorial services ensuring they meet the operational and contract requirements.

* To liaise with the helpdesk ensuring that events/tasks are dealt with in accordance with the Contract Agreement.

* To undertake reactive and planned maintenance tasks, as well as monitoring of Contractors when dealing with their assigned tasks and providing escort duties when and where required.

* Daily litter pick/weeding to ensure external grounds are as well kept as possible
