A leading construction contractor are looking for an established Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This business work to build, refurbish and maintain overhead power lines, substations, and windfarm connections. Due to an additional £150m of projects awarded, the business now require an established Quantity Surveyor to join their team to deliver on this recession proof work. About The Role

* Assisting with the control of costs, maximising value, minimising and accurately forecasting cost.

* Compiling, reviewing and submitting Applications for Payment to the client

* Performing risk management, value management and cost control

* Advising on and administering project procurement strategy

* Allocating work to subcontractors and administering subcontracts

* The measure and re-measure of subcontractor applications

* Contract administration including:

* Identifying and notifying Early Warnings and Compensation Events

* Pricing, notifying and negotiating Compensation Event Quotations

* Supporting the project team by providing advice on contractual change items

* Completing monthly Cost Value Reconciliation's and reporting to the project team and Managing Quantity Surveyor

* Working collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth running of commercial team

* Maintain a good working relationship with the client and clients commercial representatives

About You

You are an established Quantity Surveyor with some experience with NEC. You are a team player, capable of engaging with the client and project delivery team to build solid stakeholder relations. You hold a full driving license and are willing to travel to site on a weekly/monthly basis.
