Avanti Recruitment is currently working with a start-up company who are looking to revolutionise the customer experience within the Ecommerce domain. They are looking to enhance user interactions and are in the process of expanding their development team. They are now looking for a Java Developer on a fully remote basis.

To date, the company has already processed over 25 million messages sent and has over 1 million people using its platform. They are looking to expand this heavily over the next year or two. They have engineered an in-house recommendation engine, driving new sales through various social media channels.

You will find yourself joining a small, close-knit team of 5 on a fully remote basis and will be working on the core platform. You will gain valuable experience across the full software development lifecycle and will get involved with integrations with a mix of new and external legacy systems. You will also handle the development of an in-house Natural Language Understanding service. You will also contribute to the stack enhancements utilising AWS and Containers.

Essential Skills:
- 2:1 or above in Computer Science or Mathematics
- At least 1 Year of Commercial experience in Java
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced volatile environment
- Building and integrating with REST web services
- Microservices experience

Desirable Skills:
- Any start-up experience would be beneficial
