Our client based in Bedford are recruiting for a Payroll Assistant to join their fantastic team to join their team on a full time employed basis.
Job Purpose
To ensure that hours for staff members are accurately inputting and processed in a timely manner for payrolling. Adding new staff members to pension schemes and setting up new employees.
Job Responsibilities
Assist with processing weekly and monthly payrolls and distributing reports as appropriate
Assist with submitting relevant RTI returns
Assist with dealing with ad hoc payroll queries
Assist with adding new pension scheme members on to the appropriate portal
Assist with filing weekly/monthly pension reports
Assist with setting up new employees on to Leave Planner
Provide ad hoc assistance/cover for Payroll Manager
Required Skills
Use Excel to a high level o Including using formulas such as vlookups, o Manipulating data from csv file downloads
Experience with Payroll Software, ideally Sage 50
Working knowledge and practical application of payroll law
Excellent communication skills verbally and in written communication

37 hours per week Monday Friday
