Please note: This role is part time (0.8) with a Wednesday off, making working days Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday From January till the end of the school year. The successful candidate will be required to teach Year 7 - Year 10.
Art Teacher Job Role:
Innovatively plan and execute engaging art lessons tailored for the dynamic and diverse needs of Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students, instilling a passion for creativity and expression
Help to create a school-wide atmosphere that champions inclusion, recognising and celebrating the unique contributions and perspectives of every student
Demonstrate behaviour management policies, fostering a positive and respectful learning environment where students feel empowered and supported in their artistic creations
Dedicate efforts to ensure the accessibility of lessons for all learners, regardless of their individual needs and abilities, fostering an inclusive and supportive educational experience The Ideal Art Teacher:
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Education, Art or a closely related field, showcasing a solid foundation in artistic principles and pedagogy
Possess a relevant Postgraduate qualification (PGCE/QTS)
Maintain an up-to-date and applicable DBS or be willing to undergo the necessary application process, ensuring a secure and safe learning environment for students
Showcase a passionate commitment to teaching and inspiring students in the field of visual arts, employing creative approaches to nurture artistic expression and innovation
