Rikama Education Limited are currently working with am SEN School in the Dartford area that are looking for an SEN Teacher from a nurturing background. The post is to cover initial long term sickness; however due to planned expansion, there is a strong possibility that after 3 months this could go permanent. You will be working with students in year 7 and 8, who have learning levels at early years / year 1& 2. However you may also cover other lessons initially to look at where best you are able to work in the school
There are 3 Teaching Assistants in the class of 8 children, so there is good support. You will be required to direct the TA's on a daily basis.
The children have complex needs and as such require a good teacher and the children are not challenging in relation to behaviour
Ideally you would have worked in a Primary or SEN setting previously and be a Qualified Teacher (QTS or QTLS)
