About the role
We are looking to recruit an Insight Coordinator who will ensure Oxford SU has effective membership (student) insight understanding in order to provide effective opportunities and services for students and to ensure the successful development of student-led campaigning, student voice initiatives and lobbying for improvements to the student experience within Oxford University. Without a good understanding of who we work with, we cannot work with them effectively. This role will also run our annual membership satisfaction survey.
Additionally, the post holder will have the opportunity to work across all Students' Union departments, and with the Senior Leadership Team.
Accountabilities
The key accountabilities of the post holder will be:
Creation of a clear, annual research and insight plan supported by and contributed to by the Deputy CEO that sets out the full range of evidence, research and data utilised by Oxford SU and which reports will be produced, their intended use and a timeline.
Effective delivery of the Students' Union's research and insight plan.
Effective coordination of information, support and training for student representatives when required.
High quality qualitative and quantitative research that informs the work of the organisation.
Ensure effective insight tools are utilised across Oxford SU.
Insight is shared with Sabbatical Officers, Senior Leaders and staff; it is well understood and used to inform strategic decision-making.
Assist elected officers in writing, understanding and challenging policy in an effective and strategic way.
To coordinate responses to consultations/policy developments utilising insights gained from membership research
Assist elected officers with best practice and guidance to develop evidence based campaigns
Develop and deliver the annual Big Oxford SU Satisfaction Survey
Interviews and Start Date
Interviews are due to be held on Thursday the 26th of November with a view for the position to start on week commencing the 4th of January 2021.
Working Hours
22.5-hours per week to be worked flexibly, including occasional work on evenings and weekends

Salary
Students' Union Grade C: £24,461 pro rata (0.6 FTE)
