Well a really lovely modern classic ,we imported this from Japan about 3 and half years ago and what with one thing and another chiefly DVLA losing documents ,lergy hitting the world etc the car has remained in our garage since with just the odd outing on trade plates, we finally completed the registration process in November 2021 at that point I thought you know what its a fantastic car being the Mark 1 widebody with all the toys in Red with the chrome wheels which I rather like ,I thought lets keep it ,its a great touring car ,smooth quick and quiet and the 2.8 straight 6 with the auto box is just great for lazy wafting in the sun ,it can certainly pick up its heels and fly when needed too, being the Japanese spec M sport it gets all the goodies too that ours don't all get ,M Sport leather seats and steering wheel ,heated electric leather seats, aircon still working ,electric roof ,electric windows ,
So we used it on and off but the one thing that let it down was the ageing roof the plastic was cloudy and the roof brittle ,no worries when it was down which was the position we normally used it in but up it let the cars appearance down, so in October last year we combined a trip away in it with a visit to a soft top specialist for a new Mohair roof ,not a cheap vinyl one in fact it was around 1100 from memory ,but who cares I was keeping it ,well if I'm honest to myself I say that pretty much about everything we have here and my job is to actually sell the great cars and bikes we have through our hands and not keep them forever ,we had plans to recreate a trip we did in a pair of cheap MX5s that went to Monaco in Z3s which would be like going first class compared but lord alone knows when I'll get time so the realist is offering it for sale to save me from myself .

Its done 125k kms which is around 75k miles so barely run in for this legendary motor, new battery fitted ,the airbag light sometimes comes on ,I think its to do with the passenger seat as when you move it affects the light
Motd until November 23 and has about 3 quarters of a tank of fuel in it which is probably worth as much as some cars and a new battery fitted too, a Japanese sat nav is there ,someone more tekky than me might be able to change the language but its quite funny when it talks to you in Japanese,
JDM sees it get bumper side lights and smaller plates too

A great modern classic that just seems to start every day and keep up with modern traffic ,so if you don't want to fiddle at the side of the road in a spitfire or be passed by everything on the motorway in a Moggy thou ,this might be the answer

Truly a really nice bit of top down classic driving with the benefit of the new electric roof its just ready to make some memories
