As we look to expand our Teams, we have a number of exciting new leadership roles that span both our nuclear and conventional facilities. These roles will be instrumental in driving the delivery of work across our Manufacturing Technology Centres' and will enable us to transition from how we operate today into the new product and infrastructure programmes of tomorrow.

Reporting to the Production and Assets Director, Marc Stewart, these roles suit leaders who are passionate about building and leveraging delivery partnerships to collectively achieve acceptable engineering solutions that are compliant with regulations and project requirements.
These pivotal roles combine leadership with delivery of strategic goals and objectives. Candidates will need gravitas, resilience and passion to engage with and influence those at the most senior levels to deliver our programmes of work. The ability to integrate and manage day to day Production and Assets activity alongside building capability, for both current and future programmes, will be a fundamental requirement.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Provide inspirational leadership to a team with diverse skills and experience to spearhead activities and governance
Accountable for the task management and performance management of embedded engineers and provide input and support for areas such as recruitment and training including identifying appropriate resources and where they need to be allocated to deliver engineering solutions
Ensuring effective input from Production & Assets Engineering as the One Controlling Mind
Create a positive, collaborative and diverse working environment where you can easily identify and grow talent whilst increasing the quality and speed of performance
Act as a key member of the Delivery Unit Leadership Team in establishing and delivering a holistic strategy, including the supply chain, that improves efficiency, effectiveness and quality to ensure fit for purpose engineering solutions are deployed
Act as the single point of control for engineering activity within the operating business including Delegation of Authority, to engineers within the Delivery Unit
Lead on resolution of Regulatory Issues on behalf of the Head of Engineering Delivery and the Chief Engineer
Work with Head of Engineering Delivery to ensure the engineering demand plan for the delivery unit is realistic and deliverable
We would welcome applications from individuals who can demonstrate the following skills and experience:
An ONC/HNC in scientific or STEM discipline, or equivalent NQF level 4/5 qualification or an Engineering degree (preferred)
Chartered Membership of an appropriate professional institution (preferred)
A proven ability to successfully deliver engineering programmes, safely and securely
A Successful track record in managing high performing and motivated engineering teams ideally within a highly regulated industry
Driving delivery, performance and continuous improvement
In decision making and problem-solving abilities
In working collaboratively to develop strong stakeholder relationships
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and organisational skills
Strong business acumen
Leading (or being the customer of) the introduction of new products, processes new equipment/facilities into an operational environment
