Role: Support Worker

Location: Cranborne, Wimborne

Hours: 12 hour shifts 8am-8pm (3-4 shifts per week including alternate weekends)

Salary: £11.72 - £12.78 per hour DOE (£25,596.90 - £27,911.10)

Busy Bee Recruitment are currently working with a leading national Care and Education company who specialise in providing residential living facilities alongside SEN schooling for young people with learning difficulties and complex health needs.

Role and Responsibilities:

* Work alongside our clients Teachers and TAs and assist the students with any emotional support during lesson time.

* Prompting students to become more independent.

* Liasing with parents / guardians and key workings regarding the students progress.

* Ensure the students are attending medical/health appointments and relay information to parents / guardians and key workers.

* Assisting before and after college with meal preparations and planning / getting involved in fun activities within the service.

* Be a positive and friendly face to the students and to build trust relationships in order to give them the best support.

What we are looking for:

* Previous experience working with young people beneficial but not essential

* Desire to put people first at all times, treating them as individuals

* Good numeracy, literacy and ICT skills

* Good communication skills written and verbal

* A passion for working and learning with children

* Right to Work in the UK

* A confident, kind, and creative personality
