We are seeking a CAD/CAM Manufacturing Technician to work for an international component manufacturer based in Whitstable.

Duties and Responsibilities

To support the Engineering Team with design and development of tooling solutions for products.

To support Operations and external production facilities with design support and ongoing development of agreed tooling solutions.

To identify and promote best practice in tool manufacture and maintenance.

To manufacture mainly Carbon tooling using CAD/CAM techniques using the companys CNC Milling Machine and manual Lathe.

To create and manage CAM programs for future manufacture.

To manage tooling and material stock levels to maintain continuous production.

To play a key role and support the Engineering team with Process improvement and product development.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

NVQ Level 2 or above in Mechanical Engineering

Experience of Machining processes

Experience of CAD and CAM

Experience working within a team

Demonstrated understanding of CAD systems

Demonstrated understanding of CAM systems

Demonstrated understanding of Design and Manufacturing

Desirable Experience

Experience of design and manufacturing techniques

CNC operation and programming
