The below job description will outline this position of: Mechanical Fitter

Typically, this person will be responsible for the assembly of new marine craft.

HSB Technicals client is a very established and well-regarded business entity.

Duties and responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter:

Mechanical Fitting covering maintenance/assembly & work on bearings, gear boxes, generators, pumps and other mechanical equipment.
Can work alone and/or amongst a team.
Work will be completed on vessels varying in size (7.5m- 19.5m).
Knowledge of how to work through engineering problems with a design team.
Willing to work overtime as requested by the company.

Qualifications and requirement for the Mechanical Fitter:

Marine industry experience
Able to work from technical drawings
An experienced fitter or an apprentice trained/NVQ level 3 Mechanical qualification
Knowledge of marine engines and propulsion systems
