Days & Hours: Term-time: Monday to Friday 7.00am 10.00am then, 3.00pm to 9.00pm. School Holidays: 10.00am 7.00pm (same days), no weekends. 43.75 hours on average per week.

About this client/child: Sophie is an intelligent, funny, and determined 10-year-old with a love for musical theatre, singing, and performing. Sophie and her twin brother were born prematurely (24 + 4 weeks). Sophie developed Retinopathy of Prematurity at birth and as a result she has a profound visual impairment. She attends a mainstream primary school, has an EHCP in place and is making remarkable progress, not only in terms of her education but in all aspects of her life.
Overview of role: This main aim of this role is to facilitate and foster Sophies overall independence and self-help skills, giving her the experience and opportunity to learn how to work alongside her SEN Support Worker / PA to reach her goals and ambitions. Youll offer her encouragement, support, and motivation to enable Sophie to participate in activities alongside her peers and explore new hobbies and interests. Sophie requires practical support after school to provide guidance and assistance with her homework, accessing and supporting safe use of social media, allowing Sophie to keep in contact with her friends and share similar experiences.
Who this job would suit: A great full-time role for a *female SEN Tutor / TA, SEN Nanny or experienced Support Worker / PA interested in performing arts, savvy with social media and technology, who will enjoy working 1:1 in a family setting. We require a creative, flexible and adaptable person to support Sophie. Please only apply if you are a driver with your own car.
