Then look no further! PK Education are currently looking to recruit Chesterfield based Cover Supervisors to work for us on a part-time, ad hoc basis at a large secondary school in Chesterfield.

This is the perfect opportunity for graduates who are considering the teaching profession in the future and are looking for experience/work in Secondary schools as a Cover Supervisor before starting your PGCE / Teacher Training Course.

The role of the cover supervisor is to:

Supervise pupils whilst they carry out work that has been prepared by a teacher.
Manage the behaviour of pupils whilst they are undertaking this work.
Deal with any immediate problems.
Collect completed work after the lesson and pass to the appropriate teacher.
Build rapport with students.
The successful applicants will:

Be qualified to degree level or have school support experience.
A HLTA qualification is highly beneficial.
Have a confident, personable and can do approach.
Have experience working with small or large groups of children.
