The company developed as a national training provider for apprenticeships in 2013; we have since further engaged with both levy and non-levy organisations to become the provider of choice.

We are looking to appoint an experienced tutor/assessor for the Devon region, this role will also encompass the surrounding regions. Candidates must have a strong understanding of working with children, young people and their families within a residential childcare setting. Previous experience of assessment and childcare standard is advantageous.
About the Role:
You will ensure learners have clear objectives termly to support their timely progression on the Level 4 Children, Young People and Families (CYPF) Practitioner apprenticeship standard and L5 Children, Young People and Families Manager Aprrenticeship standard including the embedded Level 3 / L5 Diploma Residential Childcare. We have dedicated functional skills tutors to support the delivery of Level 2 English and Maths where required.
Here is a taste of what you will doing day to day:
* Assessing learners in their workplace using a range of assessment methods whilst preparing learners for their End Point Assessment
* Using an array of delivery techniques, this could include 1-2-1 support, group workshops and remote visits
* Providing constructive and developmental feedback to learners
* Ensuring all learners records are maintained and compliant with Department of Education and Ofsted requirements
* Engaging with employers, promoting the Lewtay Quality of Service to support all current and future learners
* Providing additional support for any learners with additional needs
* Maintaining up to date progress reviews for all learners with constructive feedback to employers building successful working relationships
* Attending regular team and standardisation meeting
* Working closely with the assessment and internal quality team to support colleagues whenever possible.
As a remote/home-based role, interaction with students will be remotely delivered through Microsoft Teams. In some circumstances where our partner employer request site visits, travel may be required on occasions; therefore, a full, clean driving licence is required.
You will take responsibility for your own caseload of learners, supporting each of them to smash through their learning journey and successfully completing their end-point assessment.
About you:
* You will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* You will hold a TAQA Assessor Award - A1/CAVA/D32/D33 or equivalent
* Having PTTLS, V1/TAQA/D34/EPA would be advantageous.
* You will have a recognised qualification in Residential Childcare, L3 / L5 Residential Childcare Diploma or equivalent at level 3 or above
* You will have Maths and English GCSE at Grade C or above, or hold a relevant alternative qualification
* You will have experience in the delivery of apprenticeships, with an excellent understanding of apprenticeship standards.
Salary is negotiable dependent on experience and full time equivalent; however, applications will be accepted from those wishing to work part-time.
The role is subject to a satisfactory DBS reference check.
