Planning & Performance Manager - I am delighted to be working alongside a well-known and expanding North East based manufacturing business to recruit a Planning and Performance Manager in a permanent on site basis. The successful candidate will be well experienced with a minimum of two years experience as a Planning Manager be well experienced and have an excellent track record of working in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
MAIN DUTIES:
Production of the planning schedule to ensure clients deliveries dates are achieved
Understanding the day to day activities that influence the Utilisation & Efficiency of staff and materials, and developing feedback reports on performance
Identifying ways to reduce the process waste within the manufacturing process and lead the implementation
Assessing project and resources requirements based upon clients needs
Data gathering and review of actual times versus estimated times and implementing performance improvements where necessary
Ordering and scheduling of all raw materials required in the production process.
Organise the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
Liaison with design and sales team on production requirements and feeding back areas for improvement in design, process or worker efficiencies
Working with the Production Manager to monitor and assess the operators efficiency levels and run improvement projects to increase performance
Overall accountability for the delivery of the workplace organisation and flow WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
You must have a minimum of 2 years experience essential
Computer literacy (Excel/ Word) essential
Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail
Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritise tasks
Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation
Excellent organisational and time management skills
A positive attitude to dealing with people
Capable of working independently, and having responsibility as an individual
Capable of hands-on problem-solving, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions
