Water Hygiene Technician - Water Treatment
Burton Upon Trent - Staffordshire
£30,000 + Company Van + Overtime

Introduction
We are currently recruiting for a Water Hygiene Technician to join one of the industry leaders in specialist water treatment equipment and services in the UK. Working as a Water Hygiene Technician, you will be responsible for providing key water hygiene services to customer sites throughout the Staffordshire and surrounding areas.

Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Field Service Manager, you will be responsible for:
Ensuring that client sites are provided with key water hygiene services in line with site requirements, health and safety and company procedures. This includes:
Legionella and TVC sampling.
General water hygiene temperature monitoring.
Shower clean and descales.
Cold water storage tank inspections
Thermostatic mixer valve servicing.
Cooling tower cleans and disinfections.
Communicating with customers to ensure that all work completed is satisfactory, developing and maintaining relationships with key client personnel & colleagues.
Completing field documentation and reports, ensuring they are presented to the relevant people within the required time frames.
Proactive in making recommendations to clients for improvements to existing systems.
Works to achieve set service level agreements (SLA's), KPIs and targets set and agreed with the line manager.
Liaising with the Water Hygiene Supervisor with regards to all technical issues.
Understand the water treatment process, product and technical issues with an ability to fault find using first line investigation techniques.
Completing risk assessments, activity reports and other documentation as required.
Offering after sales technical support and carrying all other supporting duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications
Full UK driving licence
Previous experience working within the water hygiene/ water treatment industry
Legionella awareness or previous experience working to ACoP L8 and HSG274
Strong communication and customer service skills
Flexibility to travel to customer sites
