We are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join an international not-for-profit organisation to support the Strategy & Planning team who are responsible for strategic planning and implementation, design and project management of critical strategic initiatives and the delivery of organisational governance ensuring regulatory compliance. The role will be responsible for provide project management expertise and leadership on a variety of strategic initiatives in line with organisational requirements, and to project manage a portfolio of projects dictated by the organisation.
Key duties and responsibilities:
• To design, implement and monitor projects as required, tailoring project management tools and techniques to each project to maximise efficiencies, and maintain robust project documentation.
• To proactively act as a conduit to project governance structures, escalating issues, opportunities and variances from milestones, budget or KPI delivery to relevant project sponsors.
• To maintain oversight of project budgets, managing variances and opportunities for efficiencies as they arise.
• To champion project management best practice across the Foundation, supporting and driving efficiencies.
• To champion alignment between projects to the organisational strategy, plan and KPIs.
• To conduct thorough project evaluations and promote a positive pro-evaluation approach across the Foundation, including championing the implementation of lessons learnt.
• To confidently chair project steering, working or ad hoc groups and provide timely reporting as agreed.
Experience required:
• Formal project management qualification or relevant equivalent experience.
• Strong track record in managing and delivering complex multi-stakeholder projects.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and keep projects moving in difficult circumstances whilst building positive relationships across the organisation and retaining an objective focus.
• Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple projects at the same time, reprioritising, and reorganising to keep projects on track and meet agreed deadlines.
• Meticulous organiser with an exemplary eye for detail.
