We are working on behalf of a world leading manufacturer and currently have an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer based at their site in Colwick, Nottinghamshire.
Job Summary:
The Process Engineer will be responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for various products. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and high-quality production, implement process improvements, and drive innovation in line with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Process Optimization:
Analyse existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement, efficiency enhancement, and cost reduction.
Develop and implement process optimization strategies, including Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and workflow evaluations to streamline operations.
New Product Introduction (NPI):
Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to develop comprehensive NPI plans.
Manage scale-up activities and ensure smooth integration of the product into existing production lines.
Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for process modifications during NPI.
Quality Assurance:
Establish robust quality control measures and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Conduct root cause analyses for quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to develop and maintain quality documentation and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering).
Proven experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of process optimization methodologies, such as Lean and Six Sigma.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality control principles.
Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Salary / Benefits:
£45,000pa + Benefits
Hours:
Full-Time: Monday Friday 37.5 hours per week
