Job Title: Secondary SEN Tutor

Job Duties:
Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to secondary school students with special educational needs (SEN)
Develop individualised education plans based on students' needs and abilities
Implement strategies to support students with autism in their learning process
Monitor and assess students' progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support
Required Qualifications:
IDEAL - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience working with secondary school students with SEN
Specialist training in autism education
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience working as a SEN tutor or teacher
Knowledge and Skills:
Understanding of SEN practises and strategies
Ability to tailor teaching methods to meet individual student needs
Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to SEN education
Strong organisational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
Experience working in a mainstream school with SEN students
Working Conditions:
The role involves working in a secondary school, the students home or local community centre setting in Cobham, Surrey. The tutor may need to adapt to different classroom environments and work closely with other education professionals.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
