About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing additional support to students with diverse learning needs. Working closely with teachers and SENCOs, you will assist in delivering tailored interventions and support programs, helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities
Assist teachers in delivering differentiated lessons and adapting materials to meet the individual needs of students
Support students with tasks such as reading, writing, and numeracy, providing encouragement and guidance as needed
Promote positive behavior and engagement in learning, using proactive strategies to manage challenging behaviors
Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans for studentsRequirements:
Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers
Empathy, patience, and understanding towards students with diverse learning needs
Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to respond effectively to changing situations and priorities
