Introduction

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is currently seeking a Production Assembler/Solderer to join their team. This Temp to perm position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the production process of electronic assemblies and box builds. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high-quality standards and efficiency in assembly operations.

Main Responsibilities

Perform PCB assembly tasks involving SMT and PTH soldering
Conduct cable assembly using crimp tools
Undertake electro-mechanical assembly
Refer to customer BOMs/drawings to ensure compliance with manufacturing standards
Execute PCBA rework as necessary

Experience / Skills / Qualifications

Experience or knowledge of IPC 610 standards
Proficiency in PTH/SMT soldering, adhering to minimum IPC610 class 2 standards
Excellent component recognition and knowledge
Ability to work with fine pitch components under a microscope
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Capability to understand and effectively communicate technical information
Effective prioritisation skills to manage a busy workload
Ability to perform well under pressure
Inspection experience, although not essential, would be advantageous

Additional Information

This is a Temp to perm position . Working hours are Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 15:30. The hourly rate for this role is between £12 and £13.50 per hour.
