Brook Street Recruitment is working with our Belfast client who is currently recruiting for a new permanent Insurance Claims Handler

Responsibilities

Negotiate Insurance Claims - mostly Motor and some liability - investigating, negotiating and settling claims in a cost effective and efficient manner.
Validating policy cover and managing customer's expectations.
Meet the agreed standards of service, volumes and performance levels in line with KPIs.
Provide input and advice to clients on claims progress, manage expectations and support their needs.
Escalate problems with claims to Account Executives and/or Senior Management in accordance with agreed referral triggers.
Identify policy issues around policy cover and application and escalate issues as required
Set up first advice and managing subsequent interactions with clients and insurers
Referring to senior handlers and team leader as required.
Criteria

Must have experience of Motor and some Liability experience
Strong communication skills - written and verbal
Preferred to have CII qualification
Competent in Microsoft Office.

Salary will be £30-35k depending on experience
