Here for sale is my 1989 Volkswagen Golf GL.
1.8 Automatic with a genuine 31k on the clock.
I am the cars second owner from new so as you can imagine this history of the vehicle shows. Its not a GTI whats been through 10 owners.
I have drove this daily to work all summer with no issues but now its time to sell it as i have another car and this is just sitting SORN on my drive.
Since i have owned this car i have done some work to it mainly the engine to keep it right and running good.
The original Pierburg E2 carburettor has been changed for a Weber 32/34 DMTL as they are far more superior and the Pierburgs have a bed rep.
Other maintenance jobs have been compete such as:

- [x] Ignition leads
- [x] Fuel vaporiser
- [x] Spark plugs x 4
- [x] Pressed plates

- [x] Boot gas struts
- [x] New carb flange
- [x] Fit weber Carb
- [x] New thermostat & Coolant Replace.
I still have the cars OEM steel wheels if wanted with the sale.
The car runs and drives well, the carb may need a slight tune as I’ve set it up about 6 month ago from new.
This car has huge potential for anybody who is into old cars. Please bear in mind the cars age it is old and has been around a while. This is no show pony/trailer queen but has the potential to be if thats your thing.
Great investment, will only go up in value if looked after. Not desperate to sell so i wont buckle at low offers id rather keep it.
