2011 Range Rover Sport Autobiography 3.0 SDV6
Mileage as of today is just going to turn 115000
It was mot’d on Friday (couple weeks early) at 114962. It was a clear pass with advisories. Mot expiry is 13th December 2024
I bought this a few months ago when the engine in my discovery failed. With huge repair bills looming I decided to replace it with this Autobiography sport (always fancied one). I have used it for the past couple of months, but in the mean time found a replacement engine for my discovery and a garage to fit for a reasonable figure. The discovery is now back on the road and it just suits me better (size – 3 dogs) so have decided to keep that and move the sport on
I am the third owner, the original owner had it 2 years, it was then bought from Bentley Newcastle in 2013 by the second owner – I’m sure the receipt is in the service history for 40 odd grand!
It has been maintained by Mastora Land Rover specialist in Alnwick with thousand and thousands of pounds worth of receipts, Inc. usual stuff such as timing belts, turbos, ACE bars, pumps, Steering rack…all sorts. One bill alone was £5k
The NS inlet manifold was changed just before I bought the car, receipt present for circa £1000. I had it serviced a few weeks ago by another Land Rover specialist done at 114015 miles. I had the suspension recalibrated as seemed to be a little low on the front. That was redone and sits and rides perfectly now. I then took the car to London for a weekend trip and on the way back got the restricted performance on dash. The OS manifold had split, so that has been replaced this week. Both inlets are genuine Land Rover parts that will last, not the cheapy eBay £100 that last a few weeks and blow again!
I did discs/pads all the way round approx. 1 month ago, had a new coolant bottle (common fault, float sticks and gives a false message to dash saying coolant is low), there was also a hole in a pipe on the compressor which has been replaced. The suspension works as it should, rides well, goes up and down when requested and stays level when left.
I have spent approx. £1700 on the car since I have had it and all of the normal jobs have been done. It should be trouble free motoring, that said it’s a Land Rover….are they ever trouble free?
Condition is very good, odd mark here and there as expected with age and miles. Wheels have a couple marks but generally clean and presentable. I did plan to change the wheels for a different style but never got around to it! They are original and I suppose grown on me, quite like them now
Interior is two tone leather - cream centre and black outside. It has heated all round and a heated steering wheel. One of the back seats has had a small tear and then stuck back down and a couple marks on the trim between the seat and door. Previous owner did his shop out and used it as a bit of a van I’m told…..sounds worse than it is, will add pics
There is a towbar fitted but seems to be stuck in as previous owner never removed it – no towing electrics fitted. Only ever pulled a jet ski 2 mins down the road. The centre plastic bumper cover was missing, I have bought a new one but won’t fit with the towbar on, it could be cut/modified to fit if your handy but I’m just not that bothered!
Everything in the car work Inc. the AC, was regassed a few months back. It goes well, starts stops as it should and has no issues other than parking sensors not working. The garage that serviced it said it was the NSR inner sensor, I bought one from eBay and fitted but part numbers do not match. I have reordered one with the correct number so hopefully that resolves the issue!
No timewasters, dreamers offering £6k, go find another. If you want a well maintained sports that’s ready to jump in and drive with all the common issues done…..this is the one for you. Remember 1 bill on these cars can turn your bargain into a nightmare!
Comes with 2 keys, folder full of receipts, original handbooks etc…
I’m not a trader but may consider a cheaper px if it helps?
