Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Installation Engineer for coverage across the UK to join their expanding organisation. As a prominent provider of audio-visual, Video Conferencing, and Unified Collaboration solutions in the UK, they are experiencing rapid growth. This opportunity is ideal for ambitious AV Engineer seeking career advancement, with a preference for candidates based in the Midlands, Milton Keynes, Northamptonshire, or Buckinghamshire areas.
What you will be doing:
Installation, configuration and testing of AV systems
Produce and update technical documentation
Review and advise on technical solution design
Pre-site system staging configuration and testing
System commissioning and handover
Planning AV, IP networks, working with the client to ensure IT protocols and network security policies are adhered to
Working closely with the Project Manager/s to ensure that installations are carried out within the specified time frame and guidelines and standards
Liaising with clients for feedback on installations (signing of handover certificates, Client feedback forms, etc.).
Providing regular communication and feedback to the Project Managers regarding specific installations and client issues on site
Ensuring van/s are in good working order and stocked with the correct level of consumables
Maintaining a good relationship with clients and project stakeholders
Managing on-site logistics including allocation of labour, ordering consumables, stock control and deliveries
Monitoring installation work to ensure the highest standard is kept through all stages of a project
Carrying out site surveys and providing detailed reports to the project and sales team to identify risks and make recommendations for the project
Requirements:
Excellent customer service and communication skills
12 months experience specifically dedicated to setting up and configuring AV equipment
AVIXA CTS Exam ideally completed and passed
Good understanding of AVoIP
Set up of DSPs
Dante Level 1, (Ideally Level 2)
Microsoft Teams and Zoom Rooms
Video Conferencing endpoint deployment
Technical understanding of AV and VC equipment, functionality and installation processes basic programming is advantageous
Build AV racks to a high standard
Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics
Experience working on construction sites and coordinating AV installations with main contractors and other trades.
Attention to detail
Ability to work well in a team
Working with new and emerging technologies
Full clean UK driving license
Able to pass security clearance
CSCS/ ECS
