A leading manufacturing business based near Northallerton needs the help of an experienced Management Accountant to cover an initial 6 month contract period.
The company is going through a period of change so this role is to support the FD with the following tasks:
* Production of monthly management accounts
* Posting of accruals, prepayments, deferred income and WIP journals.
* Commercial finance support
* Maintaining Fixed Asset register, posting of additions, disposals and monthly depreciation journals.
* Balance Sheet reconciliations, checking for mis-postings and journal accordingly
* Weekly cash flow forecasting
* Credit control and running credit checks
* Preparation and submission of VAT returns
* Collating, checking and posting of credit card expenses
* Petty cash reconciliation
This is a really varied role so would suit someone with an SME background who enjoys a mix of responsibilities.
The company can offer a range of very enticing benefits and would welcome applications from candidates who are CCAB (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) qualified or qualified by experience. Previous knowledge of the manufacturing sector would be advantageous but isn't essential. Ideally you will have very good Excel skills though.
