Expected salary basic £30,000 (37 hour week) however expected £40,000

We are a leading company in Blyth, offering a range of services including Stevedoring, Warehousing, and Logistics. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our maintenance team and ensure the smooth operation of our plant and equipment.

As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for:

- Performing routine and preventive maintenance on handling plant such as FLT, Cranes & Heavy Plant
- Diagnosing and repairing faults on plant and equipment
- Assisting with the loading/unloading of goods as and when required
- Learning and operating plant and equipment as part of the Stevedoring team
- Working across four sites in Blyth, so a full driving licence is essential

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a Stevedoring or Logistics environment
- A flexible and proactive attitude, willing to work shifts and weekends as necessary
- A commitment to health and safety standards and best practices
