Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer - Permanent
Southampton/ Portsmouth area.
Carbon60 are looking to recruit and experienced HVAC Engineer to join a well-established team in Portsmouth to attend customer sites to install, service or repair refrigeration and air conditioning equipment as directed by the Service Manager.
HOURS and SALARY:

£38,000 - £40,000 (paid Friday weekly in arrears)
8am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8am-3.30pm Friday
Van and company credit card for Fuel Purchases.JOB DESCRIPTION

Install, service and repair refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
Diagnose faults and repair or make recommendations for required works.
Liaise directly with on-site contacts to assess customer requirements and carry out tasks accordingly.
Liaise with customers to investigate reported faults and provide engineering expertise to resolve issues and breakdowns.
Carry out safe pressure testing of equipment.
Strip down mechanical compressor units.
Complete required paperwork for (hot) work permits and waste transfer notes.
Report any issues regarding safe working practices to the Service Manager immediately.
Attend planned appointments at the time specified by the customer ensuring all tools and equipment are accessible and in safe working order.
Offer mentor support and technical expertise to apprentices.
Keep the Service Manager appraised of current workloads and anticipate where additional resources may be required.
Take responsibility for the safe keeping and maintenance of all company issued tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Carry out additional duties such as site surveys as required by the Service Manager.REQUIRED:

NVQ Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (Level 2 or 3).
Minimum of 5 years on the job experience (commercial and industrial).
Full clean UK driving licence.
Physical fitness is a necessary requirement for the position.
Experience working in a marine environment would be an advantage.
Polite and professional manner.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Able to communicate confidently at all levels.
