Temporary Chef Manager

Location- Barnsley

Do you have a Diploma Level 3 (or equivalent) and CIEH Level 2 food hygiene supervision (or equivalent)?

* 40 hours per week on a rota basis

* 3-month temporary contract up until December 2023

* Every other Sunday off

The role of the Cook involves being responsible for all aspects of catering within the service. The role also involves managing other catering staff.

The ideal candidate should have a range of practical skills, require a sound knowledge base and, not least, the ability to communicate, understand peoples needs, and build positive relationships with people using the service and your colleagues.

As a Temporary Chef Manager, you will be required to:

* To plan and implement menus that provide a good standard of nutrition and are enjoyable.

* To provide meals that meet individual dietary, health, and cultural needs and preferences wherever possible, in line with person-centred assessments of care.

* To attend any training as required and take part in a positive manner.

* To follow the company procedures

* To be observant

* To work in a non-discriminatory manner and uphold peoples rights to be treated with dignity and respect, as set out in law and by company policies.

* To prepare, cook and attractively present meals to a good standard to provide a well-balanced nutritional menu. This may on occasion include catering for visitors and special occasions.

* To be responsible for the effective operation of the kitchen. This includes drawing up staff rotas and making suitable arrangements for times when you are not on duty but the kitchen continues to operate.

* To ensure that all regulations relating to food preparation, cooking and storage
