Manufacturing Engineer Overview:

You will provide direct support to the Metals Manager ensuring all parts are produced to a high quality and to agreed delivery schedules. You will provide help and support to the Engineering and Sales functions to ensure that quotes are completed in an accurate and timely manner and support the Quality department in meeting and sustaining our quality systems and accreditations.

Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:

Preparation of customer data for printing. This may include minor/major fixing and post processing considerations.
Setting up of builds to a strict schedule using relevant 3D printing software.
Technical review of customer enquiries and creation of quotations.
Ensure quality of manufactured components to agreed quality standards.
Support the sales and design teams with technical enquiries. (When required)
Support and guidance to the metals team.
Production and management of metal materials for use in machines.
Quality check of metal materials to standards.
Stock control and purchasing of materials and consumables.
Creating process, Local Work Instructions and providing training to staff as necessary.
Provide assistance with problem solving, in event of equipment breakdown.
Complete maintenance tasks as outlined in schedule with due care and attention.
Liaise with metals Manager to schedule in AM machine maintenance tasks.
Make recommendations for improvements on equipment and processes.
Assist with provision of data to produce meaningful KPIs.
Manufacturing Engineer Profile:

Degree/HNC in Mechanical Engineering/Material Science or Engineering with a minimum of 2 years experience within a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Experience within a Motorsport or Aerospace environment.
A strong passion for additive manufacturing/new technologies.
A good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
Positive approach with a can do attitude.
Team player with strong social and communication skills
